A partner to Prevent Child Abuse America for more than 16 years, Target most generously supported the market research that provided much of the campaign's direction, as well as funded the development of the campaign's comprehensive evaluation plan. Target's support is indicative of the company's commitment to preventing family violence and making strategic investments in organizations that deliver long-term benefits. Through national partnerships, local initiatives and its own programs, Target is committed to making our nation's communities better places to live. From the beginning, Target Corporation has given 5% of income to good causes, adding up to $3 million a week that goes to education, the arts and social services. In support of Pinwheels for Prevention, Hy-Vee, Inc. is most generously featuring campaign messaging on more than 2.5 million grocery bags in April 2009 across the seven states in which it operates: Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota . Hy-Vee, Inc. is an employee-owned corporation operating 225 retail stores in seven Midwestern states. For 2008 the company recorded total sales of $6.2 billion, ranking it among the top 30 supermarket chains and the top 50 private companies in the United States. |

The Berenstain Bears
The Berenstain Bears are demonstrating their commitment to children and families across the country by serving as "Spokesbears" for Prevent Child Abuse America. The partnership is an innovative decision by the Berenstain Bears to use their popularity to highlight the type pf parenting, activities and lessons that promote healthy, stable and stimulating environments that decrease the chances of child abuse and neglect from occurring. The Berenstain Bears have provided important lessons to millions of readers for over 40 years and are one of the most recognizable children’s characters in the country. |
